On the 14th of November 2025, Old Johannians gathered for lunch at Barrington’s Plettenberg Bay for the annual Garden Route Reunion.
More than 30 people attended; it was wonderful to see Old Johannians and their partners. After a welcome by Andy Dane (Thomson 1968), Des Lindberg (Sixth Form 1959) sang a verse of a poem for grace – a moving and memorable expression of thanks. After a delicious lunch, Suzie Copperthwaite shared a short presentation and some news of the College.
A sense of community was reignited as stories were told and reimagined, a reminder that St John’s gives more than an education. It is a place for life, shared experiences and ideas – threads that continue to connect people across time and place.
Thank you for being part of this day! And thank you to Andy for organising.
